Summary: * Based on a light novel series by Hirasaka Yomi with illustrations by Buriki.

Hasegawa Kodaka, a half-Japanese/half-British boy, has recently transferred to a Catholic High School, St. Chronica's Academy, and as always, finds it impossible to make friends there due to his naturally blond hair, inherited from his dead English mother, which makes him look like a dangerous delinquent to his prejudiced peers. One day after school, he enters the classroom witnessing the equally solitary and very abrasive girl Mikazuki Yozora while she speaks to her Imaginary Friend Tomo. They decide that the best way to improve their social situation is to form a club - the Rinjinbu (Neighbour's Club) - just to make friends and learn social skills.

Five other members soon join, starting with the school's well-connected and arrogant idol Kashiwazaki Sena, who has many male admirers but no female friends due to jealousy. Kusunoki Yukimura, a girl pretending to be a boy, who idealises and follows Kodaka in the hope that it will teach her to become manlier. Kobato, Kodaka's younger sister who is attending St. Chronica's middle school division and has a penchant for darkness, vampires and the macabre ever since she started watching an anime called Full Metal Necromancer. Shiguma Rika, a perverted underclassman and well-known scientific genius, who speaks in the third person and was saved by Kodaka during a failed experiment, thereafter trying to repay him with sex. And finally Takayama Maria, a precocious 10-year-old teacher and nun at the academy, who becomes the club adviser.

First of all u r the biggest fool if u don't watch this anime So, plz watch it. What i liked is the story, the script and of course the lads. But i just don't get one thing why always in anime the lads r always more and they fall for the same guy and not us? well keeping that aside the story covers around a high school and some students who don't have any friends and therefore, they starts a club hoping to make frnds. watch the season 2 also caz it's more interesting and pray for season 3.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai was a really interesting anime. The storyline was unique and one I'd never really seen in an anime before. There are a lot of anime about making friends, but not like this one. The plot moved by at a fairly quick pace and the resolution was decent. the only problem I found with the story was that the romance angle was never cleared up. I'm hoping for a sequel to clear things up on that front. The dialogue was alright for the most part, but I got a little sick of having a ten year old calling people "pig" and "poop" (read more)

Watched this over the weekend and finished episode 12 today. Funniest harem I've seen since Love Hina (I would say Ichigo 100%, but the anime for that stunk). Main character is definitely likable, and the story idea, along with the various plot twists and turns, is hilarious. Only issue I have with this is that the end of episode 12 definitely leaves something to be desired... Guess I'll have to find the light novel version to keep up with it...

Only question I have though -- is Yukimura a dude or a chick?

This is a completely different/weird anime, but very entertaining. I just watched one episode and got hooked on it. The different backgrounds of the characters and how they interact with each other makes you want to know what is going to happen next and at the same time it is hilarious.

This is one of the most stupidly funny anime I ever watched! Its something different than any other.

If you like something fun, school-life nerds, baka-teenagers, watch this. I tell you, watch this!

It is not an ecchi anime, but some hot shots are undeniable. But it is mainly about a group of students who really don't have friends. They formed a group, which consist of students who never know how best friend is like, and they even don't know that cell phone can sent mails!!!

Some of them plays shoujo games, loves literature, have a vampire (read more)

This amine is refreshing. It's simple yet unique where the main characters have established a club to make friends since they have none to begin with. It's funny and along the events that occurs, the past it brought up where things get even more interesting.

I have to admit despite being the a typical harem anime with all the girls fawning over the main male lead I found this thoroughly enjoyable.
The use of making a anime based on people who have difficulty finding or making friends was a refreshing experience towards what is constantly portrayed in the media as it gave it a more realistic view towards life and making friends then the idolised view of being a social butterfly. Also it follows the steady stages of meeting people and as they become acquaintances to close friends. Even before they realise (read more)
