Vampire Knight is worth the watch. I found it entertaining enough to pass the time, however towards the end I thought it to be a little predictable and became bored with it. I finished watching the season but I don't intend on watching Vampire Knight Guilty.

I did enjoy the relationship between Yuki and Zero, it was cute and an interesting story. Yuki's relationship with Kaname was frustrating though. I didn't think there was enough depth to their background, or at least their background wasn't explored enough, for them to have that kind of attachment.

The animation was well done, but not the best I’ve seen. I would recommend watching it, but not if you’re looking for an in depth and intricate story line with characters you can get attached to. (show less)

This starts out as a tale of high-school romance, but twisted by the fact that there is an underlying mystery vampire theme. It is visually pleasing and most young female anime watchers will enjoy this. The intrigue starts about midway through when more plot is revealed. There is very little action packed scenes, but the characters are strange and interesting enough to keep you guessing. The mystery is revealed closer to the end of the series in "Guilty". It was fairly complete as well, which is something I think more 2 season animes need to consider.

I would have liked to see more development some of the side characters. There was a secondary vampire political plot that would have been interesting to see a bit more of and there was room for much more. (show less)

The first few episodes are pretty good, really lure you in and you just want to find out what happens. But I got disappointed when they started to have lots of fillers, same flash backs over and over again, and thats when i started to really lose interest and it was an effort to finish off the series. There wasn't enough action which you'd expect from such a dark vampire series.

But the character designs are beautiful and you'll recognise many familiar voices.

I think if you just enjoy a really superficial love triangle (its not a very complicated one) then you may enjoy this one.

The second season is much better. (show less)
