Season 2 of World Only God Knows is pretty much the same as the first season as far as the concept and story goes though i have to say it was a bit better. The different arcs are more realistic and the characters are less stereotypical compared to that of the previous season though it still feels like the arcs are pretty much rush and wasn't given enough momentum for it to be memorable which is a shame since most them were interesting and deserves a few more episode. I also like the part where Elsie was given the spotlight together with the new shinigami Haqua while Katsuragi was more of a support character in that way it gives us a bit more of her character and personality. Though i'm a bit disappointed with the main character which still retains his "addiction" to virtual dating games. I was expecting that after his encounters in the previous season he will at least show some interest into connecting to the "real world" instead it seems he became more attached to the virtual world and has become more obnoxious, stereotypical and unrealistic (i can't imagine someone who plays dating games 24/7 still manages to get a perfect score on school exams and have good grades) and if his personality doesn't change in the 3rd season (if ever there will be one) he will come out just a boring character. The animation is still great and the finale is a definite improvement. We even get to see some potential new character if ever the series produced another 3rd season. ( show less)

"The World Only God Knows II" isn't a lot different from the first season. The quality stays the same and they've managed to keep the different arcs original while not straying too far from the concept.
My biggest problem with this anime is the ending of each arc. It's rarely realistic. Sometimes it's even so bad it looks like the main character is forcefully kissing the 'targets'. But I realise this flaw is difficult to fix without making the arcs a lot longer and probably more boring. Other than that I have no complaints about the story.

Each character seems like a stereotype at first but as you get to know them better you find out that they each have their share of problems in life and are deeper than expected.
"The world only god knows" tries to break the stereotypes of dating sims.
The conversations are often funny and sometimes sad or touching. There were occasions were the main character was too much of a know it all but this was also because of the rushed stories.
While watching this I wasn't amazed by the animations but nothing was particularly bad about it. It's probably just above modern anime quality.
I feared the last episode of this season was going to be a filler again... and it was but it had more meaning than the end of the first season. I actually started to appreciate the episode near the end.
I enjoyed watching this show. It may not be THAT memorable but it always managed to put me in a good mood. ( show less)
