Summary: |
A long time has passed since the end of a massive war between humans and monsters. A new type of energy named "aer" was discovered. When crystallized, this substance became the energy source for "blastia", an ancient civilization's technology that provided a wide array of essential abilities for humanity. Despite it's manipulation, mankind still has very little knowledge of what exactly is "aer". On a mission to eradicate a horde of monsters near the town of Shizotania, a group of knights comes across a strange surge of "aer". Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo are two new members fresh out of the academy of this knight division. Both are childhood friends who went separate ways, but ended up meeting each other once again while enlisting to serve the Empire.
Takes place before the events in Tales of Vesperia the video game. It will show Yuri Lowell's time as an Imperial Knight before all the events in the original game. Many characters from the game will also be returning such as Flynn Scifo, Repede when he was a puppy, Rita Mordio, Estellise Sidos Heurassein and Raven. |

Well first off let me say that I have not played the game and I still thought the movie was excellent. Great character development, awesome animation and a pretty good plot. I really liked the characters, but for some reason Flynn seemed like the main character for me, not sure why.
Anyway I'd definitely recommend this to everyone who enjoys good animation and an overall polished movie.
