The animation is really poor. Some scenes actually felt awkward to watch solely because of how bad the animation is.
Voice acting is decent enough but with the Japanese VA's just about all being great this isn't really a surprise.
The worst part is the actual content itself. The writing is horrible. The pacing is also terrible.

So many things in this story just don't make sense. There is also basically no humor anywhere to be found, except from cringe.
I do not recommend this anime at all. If your out of anime to watch maybe check back for some older stuff. Skip this entirely. Anime Kamisama please do not renew this for a second season...
The whole show is about nothing making sense and this just frustrated me to no end.
IM GETTING ABIT SPOILER-Y FROM HERE!! If you need more info on why you shouldn't waste your time read on.
So basically the main character, Mathias, is reincarnated in order to become more powerful. The age he reincarnates in however is vastly different from the one he left as a lot of the magical arts have been lost. So he joins a magic academy. He's able to cast spells without incantations which "Wows" everyone. Although they know of its existence they somehow aren't able to replicate it but Mathias is able to teach THE ENTIRE SCHOOL this lost art in a day, by day 2 they're almost masters.
Then comes in the humans greatest enemies, the demons. So they claim Demons are so powerful it would take a team of the strongest mages to even have a chance. Well 2 days training with Mathias and now a 1st year student can one shot them.
Some point the kingdom is under threat. Why is there no army? Soldiers? Mercenaries? Adventurers? Hero's? Nothing.. So who has to defend the kingdom. Yupp the students... Like I mean how does that even make sense.
The romance in this show is even terrible. We are all used to the harem theme and usually that brings some hilarity between the protagonists suitors. Here though on first meeting the girl is like on introduction "I'm single I think I love you" vibe.
