conclusion: twisted, extreme, and quite honestly takes the cake as the most fucked-up ever in a slice of life genre. could hate each character with a passion, especially the mc, which never happened to me before. the concept works due to smooth story unfolding (with insane twists btw), believable chara development and emotions, but it could have been done in any setting; in a high school it's just strange. let me spoiler the slightest bit and say they should add psychological thriller/horror to the genres, seeing as the end is nothing but mind-fucked. has a clear message but whoever expects a soft school romance with ecchi and comedy, as the tags promise one... don't watch, just don't. this is good in its own ways (educative, with a storyline you can never quite figure out, and if you want so a connection to reality) but at the same time it's absolutely mindfucked and very very far from the happy fluff you expect.

Seriously. This is a series for one wishing to stop watching anime forever. The story is vanilla-ish until the end of episode 4, then you just want to beat the shit out of the main character. Seriously. Forget about any other anime character you think is a lecher and a player. Makoto outdoes them ALL. Episode 10 is where it starts to need that "Horror" tag. The 'dead' eyes, insanity, the constant showing of big knives... Being a hemophobic person, and yes blood scares the shit out of me, the last 10 minutes of episode 12 almost made me want to do the same to myself. Watch it if you can stomach the MASSIVE NTR and mindfuck ending, otherwise steer clear away. Unless you're doing as my review's title and first sentence say to do. (show less)

I have just completed this anime. I hated watching I think my sanity is going as is. Truly it was twisted and completely terrebly interesting also. But the anime is simply not for the faint of heart and considering I had forsaken my sanity years ago i suppose thats why i enjoyed and hated it. The series has an insanely bizzare twist ep 8 and above. I am glad my brother fell asleep by ep 10. People the series is pretty good but like i said its twisted. This review is different because i am still shell shocked u best watch a good couple episodes of power puff girls after this. I am being very serious (show less)

DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE TITLE OF THIS ANIME!!!.. Omg this anime is just pure WTF WHAT!? Ok I read some of the reviews some said the ending was bad or they didn't like it etc. After watching it, this ending was RIDICULOUS. This is the craziest ending I've ever seen in a Slice of Life High School anime. I venture into drama animes here and there and thought Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien was some crazy mess, but this one takes the cake. This ending is insane... They should re-genre and add Psychological/Thriller just because of the last 5minutes.. I gotta say for the dramatic ending I laughed my ass off at how crazy it was tho. It had some Quintin Tarantino feel to that one, as a good hint. For the feint of hearts that like mild drama, this might be a little bit spicy for ya. Just a warning :) The male protagonist is a *Super Ass* He's probably the worst male lead I've ever seen, man let me tell ya lol. Right around after halfway I felt like the problems compiled, and self-destruction was imminent. 4/5 Just cause of the ending :D. (show less)

The development of the characters through this series feels so natural, you hardly notice that its taking you to some strange, dark, quite disturbing places. The initial setup of the love triangle feels very natural, complete with all the awkward touching that goes along with high school romances. The design is fairly run-of-the-mill anime high school, and at times the animation feels a bit slack, but the story keeps the momentum going. The fact that this series is firmly grounded in human emotion is the reason it works so well. I have to admit, as soon as I finished watching this series, I watched it again just to make sure I hadn't missed anything those sex-crazed teenagers were up to. Definitely worth a look. (show less)

Though love may come in a variety of shapes and sizes, there is simply not better way to describe this particular love as ungraceful. Disturbing as the ending sounds, the anime did create a proper development, and there was nothing much to complain about the unfolding of the story. The story however, contains repetitions of betrayal after backstabbing after betrayal, that it completely ignores the setting, almost as it this could have taken place at anywhere else (a brothel could have done better). I could only describe the actions of the protagonist of utter stupidity, as it goes to the extent of unimaginable fantasy, and fell astray of what could have been a more sophisticated, developed, and original approach for any sad ending. As this was a recent story, the animation was excellent, exceptional and at times, brutal.

The story is complete in my opinion, however, it still deserves a dissapointment of a facepalm, simply because its just fucked up. Moreover, the twist was not even a twist, but rather a decline from a potential masterpiece, to an psychopathic horror of utter horrendous disaster. Yes, life certainly can be like that, if it aimed to be a slice of life, but really, every character was evil. If this was the real world, i would hang myself.

The moral of the story is, don't judge a woman by their sexyness, and never do more than one girl at a time. The moral aspect, as least, was kept intact.

If the author was a male, then I would say this was probably based on his own high school nightmare. I have sympathy for u. NOT. (show less)
