The first Saint Seiya TV series in 25 years. It will have an original story and new characters.
Kōga is a 13-year-old boy who assumed the role of the Bronze Saint of the Pegasus constellation. His undefeatable spirit and rebellious nature are strong, as is his single-minded determination. He meets the Saints and comes to learn about the importance of friendship and bonds. His special technique is the "Fist of the Pegasus Meteor."
Saori Kido also appears as the protector of peace and all living things on Earth — and the woman who raised Kōga like a parent. She is the incarnation of the fighting goddess Athena. Mars, a warrior of the red planet, kidnaps Athena to establish a new world order, and Kōga stands up against Mars.
Other characters who appear include:
Yuna, the 14-year-old heroine and Bronze Saint of the eagle constellation Aquila
Sōma, Kōga's 14-year-old loyal close friend and Bronze Saint of the lion constellation Lionet
Ryūhō, Kōga's 12-year-old younger brother and Bronze Saint of the dragon constellation Draco
Eden, the enigmatic 15-year-old Bronze Saint of the constellation Orion
Haruto, the 13-year-old intelligent descendent of ninja and Bronze Saint of the wolf constellation |

At first when I saw the cover page for this anime I thought “what sort of galactic crap is this”, and was hesitant to watch the anime but after I tried the first episode I realised that the saying “don't judge a book by its cover” is real. The animation is incredible, the story is incredible, the plot, dialogue and intense actions are just too awsome not to mention the cuuuute mother and little baby bond at the beginning. If u were deceived by the front cover I advice u disregard it and watch this anime trust me u won't regret even a single ( read more)

Watched till episode 12; so far the show is good and captivating for a hardcore fan like me. But somehow, I get a feeling of deja-vu because some scenes seem to have been ripped off straight from Naruto:
1. The way elements are presented and the relations between each of them. Come on, saints already could perform elemental attacks through the use of their armors. Was there any need to add the fact that they can now channel elements even without their armor when obviously this is not useful enough to be used in real combat? And there's even a ( read more)
Watched till episode 12; so far the show is good and captivating for a hardcore fan like me.
And there's even a wolf saint who is a ninja and uses techniques in a similar fashion to Narutoverse, nothing less. Must have missed the correct casting.
2. The whole academy thing sucks. Although our previous protagonists looked more feminine at times, damn the training they underwent seemed hard as hell because it involved actual life and death situations. How's this pretty academy gonna help them become better? Wait, it doesn't. It's just made to look like Naruto's ninja academy or any other anime where they use that kind of premises. Pre-tournament selection; reach your goal by traveling through a dangerous landscape. Forest of Death anyone? Oh, and an over-powerful rival clears it without any bruises. Totally not related to Gaara, is it? And the tournament itself, getting cancelled because big evil lord wants to take over the place. Hopefully it stops there now that our new heroes are on the runaway.
Even if we forget about these, the show still has some problems:
1. The academy doesn't seem to have a ranking system based on the students' age or skill, as would any academy. Everyone is just grouped together and this allows our protagonist, who is new to all this, to participate in a tournament for silver rank after receiving only one basic training.
2. The big evil lord sends his daughter to chase the runaway saints, and moments later he calls her back to attend his speech. When does that happen? When she catches up to our heroes. Why is his speech so important? He has to officially announce that he is chasing our heroes. Oh dear lord, what the hell is this reasoning. At least it's convenient for our heroes to have a nemesis cursed with idiocy or alzheimer (or both), they get a chance to run away again by defeating a silver saint.
3. Our main protagonist Koga looks like getting an orgasm every time he gears up. Nuff said.
4. The previous heroes look so weak, except for Seiya. What a shame. We loved them all equally, not just Seiya, so you could at least have shown them more powerful than ever or not shown them at all by increasing the generation gap. Should have taken example on how Legend of Korra put Aang and his friends in perspective.
Anyway, it looks like I'm hating but it all combines rather well together and should have no problem to entertain hardcore fans. As I said, I'm a hardcore fan myself but when there's a need to put up a review, I'll be as honest as possible. Conclusion: good for hardcore fans and people who watch anime with open minds (i.e, people who watch for entertainment only, without feeling the need to hate a show because it is similar to another one or because it is stupid at times). Sorry for the long review. ( show less)

This is great well done "remake" of an "old skewl anime. This is a good ol', basic plot, flashy shit, universe stuff, that makes you wish they'd bring back shows like "Voltron" and make them bad ass. And the beautiful art work and fight scenes makes the nostalgia even better

I've always been a fan of the Saint Saiya series they have done a lot to make this one better. The armor for one as really armor and not just some pieces that cover half of the body. The animation is great and the story seems good to. However you would need some background knowledge of the first Saint Saiya to know whats going but its a MUST watch!
