Summary:
Princess Princess is a story revolving around the lives of three boys chosen to dress up as girls at the all-boy school they attend, which also just happens to be the most elite school in the area. The main protagonist, Toru Kouno, has just transferred to a new all-boys school, Fujimori, after living with his uncle for a time. He is one such boy chosen to be one of the Hime (姫?) or "Princesses", which is a tradition at the school in order to break up the monotony of life surrounded by nothing but males. Students (based on certain qualifications) are selected to be Princesses and are made to dress up as girls and attend school functions like this.
At the beginning of the story, there are already two such Princesses, Yuujiro Shihodani and Mikoto Yutaka, known as the Western Princess and Eastern Princess respectively, due to their room location. Toru is convinced into becoming a Princess soon after entering the school though once he accepted the job, he found it to be much more enjoyable than he thought.
At first I actually watch the live action version and it was really hilarious LOL, when I bump into this anime I was so excited and decided to watch it. I think this anime is funnier compare to the live action though. haha.. its really fun to watch :D

I'm typically not a fan of yaoi anime, but I tried this one because the story line seemed interesting. As a result I found out that I loved it. I'm not biased when it comes to sexual orientation, so I always enjoy a good love story, whether it's heterosexual or homosexual in nature. What I don't like is a love story that centers around lust instead of love, which describes most of the yaoi anime I've attempted to watch and never made it through. This anime, however, was artfully done and there weren't any raunchy scenes. The story was put front (read more)

What I don't like is a love story that centers around lust instead of love, which describes most of the yaoi anime I've attempted to watch and never made it through. This anime, however, was artfully done and there weren't any raunchy scenes. The story was put front and center with the love story being a side plot that wasn't really obvious and developed slowly. Even at the end of the series it wasn't clear whether the two men were truly in love with one another, but there were plenty of hints to suggest they were.
Apart from the subtle love story angle, the anime was a wonderful comedy with some dramatic elements mixed in. It was entertaining in every way. The characters were well rounded, the dialogue was hilarious and character voices matched their designs perfectly.
It's an anime I've already watched multiple times and one of the few anime I never get tired of watching. I recommend this to anyone, even those who don't like yaoi anime because it really doesn't have the feel of yaoi. (show less)

it sure is very funny .
but about psychological thing , well i just don't know what to say ! :D
watching this is not a waste of time but i can't tell that it's a " must watch anime " .
p.s : it's not yaoi .
The whole concept of Princess Princess is very cute and makes a lot of sense to me. This anime has some endearing, moderate gender-confusion but definitely isn't what I'd call a "yaoi" (for those of you put off by that category). The story isn't super complex but it is very unique. They confront some real life issues, specifically the stigma surrounding adolescent boys showing their emotions. All in all this is a good watch, but I'd probably recommend it more to girls. It's extremely cute and is sure to bring smiles and laughter.
