| Summary: |
The series is primarily set in Tokyo, and centers around Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy who attends Seishun Academy (青春学園 Seishun Gakuen?), or Seigaku (青学?) for short, a private school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance to secure himself a spot as one of the team's regulars. In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the National Middle School Tennis Championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques. Ryoma also begins to develop his own style of tennis, and eventually realizes what the sport really means to him. |

My fourth time watching the whole entire series already and that includes the national tournament and movies too. This gives me feelings of old times and I get sad every time I watch the last episode. It's THAT good. :) AND let's not forget, so many hotties in here lol!
I think the story is very interesting but the first few eps are kind of hard to get into but keep on watching b/c this anime will blow your socks away. :P

This is one of the best sport anime I've ever watched.
This anime is really interesting and entertaining. It has a good-straight story-line with strong personality for each characters. The author's really know how to make a good humor in each dialogues instead of making his characters' faces looks hilarious. Love it!

My all time favorite anime and manga!~ I'm so happy they started a sequel!!!!!!!!!!
Ryoma's cockiness, Inui's data, Fuji's sadism (also, notice my username :P), Tezuka's stoicism, Oishi's mother-hen-ness, Eiji's cat qualities, Kawamura's BURNING!!!!!!!, Momo's playfulness along with a little competitiveness, Kaido's hissing... they're all to die for :)
If you're serious about tennis, maybe not a great fit for you, though. It apparently gets annoying for those who play seriously. And of course no one can believe they're middle school students. ( read more)

Although I think it's creative on Konomi-sensei's part for all those moves! I've been told multiple times it's not possible, and I know that. So if you don't want to have to deal with "fantasy", then definitely not for you. Although the characters and their interactions are definitely fun to watch.
That's another thing that's great. There are so many characters, so many personalities, so many quirks, it's great. Only thing, there are a lot of annoying girls. Although when I say a lot, it's like a 50:1 ratio in terms of boys to girls (not including nameless fan girls).
If you like sports-anime and don't mind things that would never actually happen in reality, then I definitely think you should watch it. And then watch it again :). Also, don't forget the manga. There's just a different charm about each of them. But other than the girls, I don't really have a con for this series at all...

i like it sooooo much....when i saw this anime i feel like i also want to play tennis...kyaaaa XD..right now i want to wait new prince of tennis episode that coming soon...cannot wait any longer ><

It's a thumbs up for me! The title kind of throws you off and the picture but don't let it (although it did with me) cause it's actually really good dispite its looks. Btw it is all about tennis but it's unique in its own way and funny in fact it made me wanna play tennis (SHOCKER!) cause Im not the sporty type anyway I highly recommend this anime.

this anime(prince of tennis) is the best coz its interesting and all the characters is sooo cool!!! its the best sport anime you ever seen......:D the story line of the anime is sooo interesting...wen i first watched it i could not stop downloading!!!! echizen ryoma is sooo cool and cute, all the charaters is cool too!!!!! the amination is good too!!!! its justt sooooo interesting!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :)
