Though honest and good natured, he is weak willed and often taken advantage of by the offbeat and mischievous tenants who live with him. As he is about to move out, he is stopped at the door by the young and beautiful Kyoko Otanashi, who announces she will be taking over as landlord. Godai immediately falls in love with her and decides to stay. |

watched this anime when it was telecast in singapore years ago. i remember that it took almost a year to finish the whole anime as it broadcast only 2 epsiodes per week. despite that, i have the patience to follow the series because of the heart-warming storyline; from epsiode 1 where godai met kyoko, godai graduation (after several failed attempts) and stepping out to society, their relationship going through numerous obstacles, to the end when they finally get married (oops....spoiler). the supporting cast are also lovable and make this anime ( read more)

the one most memorable part is when kyoko asked godai to promise her "to live longer than her" when godai proposed.
overall, i find this anime great, although there are some epsiodes which are rather meaningless. ( show less)
