The Magical Girl genre is pretty old and was made popular by Salor Moon in both Japan and America.
Madoka Magica takes that genre and twists and darkens it into something truly impressive. Not only does this anime have great and unique animation, it has a story with sadness and death.
Imagine a world where Magical Girls die fighting, and even fight and kill each other for territory. That is the world of Madoka Magica.
Each episode of this anime makes me want to watch more and more. The story continuously keeps you interested and on your toes as you watch the main characters struggle to accept the life of being a Magical Girl in their dark reality.
