Summary: 14 year-old Madoka Kaname has a dream in which a dark haired girl is struggling against an evil force. As Madoka wakes up and goes to school that morning, the very same girl, Homura Akemi, enrolls in her class. Even stranger, Homura seems to know Madoka and later confronts her in the hallway about whether she cares for her friends or not, saying she should stay how she is or else she risks losing everything.

This show felt like a breath of fresh air in the world of anime. I watched this whole series in a few hours- it was BEAUTIFUL.

The story is dark, serious, full of emotions, and believable characters. If you are expecting Sailor Moon or Shugo Chara you'll be surprised as heck by the third episode. If you like series' like Death Note you'll love this series.

The first episode was kind of meh and almost seemed like the typical magical girl show and i almost didn't continue however the trippy Witch's scene and the fact that so many people like the series made me continue. I'm so glad that i did.

Try it and don't stop after the first or second episode because I swear by the end of ep 3 you will be hooked.
