I'm a huge fan of Seo Kouji's works. I love the manga version of Kimi, it's a highlight of my week. When I first heard the news of a Kimi OVA, I was hoping for something similar to Suzuka. Unfortunately, an OVA doesn't do the series justice.
For starters, the episode starts off roughly halfway through where the manga currently is at this point, give or take a few chapters. Secondly, what story there is prior to this is shown briefly in 5-10 second flashbacks. For someone watching this for the first time WITHOUT any experience with the manga, ( read more)

In conclusion, I think it was dumb to make "just" an OVA. I know the manga is a major source of rage and anger, but I feel that it would be highly entertaining as a SERIES instead of a couple of OVAs. ( show less)
