hitman reborn is a FANTASTIC anime. the first 2-3 episodes are lame. then they start introducing more and more characters and it becomes a moderately entertaining comedy anime. the mukuro arc introduces action and it starts to become more exciting. and finally the varia arc onwards this becomes a full fledged AWESOME shonen anime. lovable characters, real laugh-inducing comedy, engaging action, memorable music (when the action begins). with the best part being the interactions between characters whether it be of friendship or rivalry or hatred. just really REALLY good. the drawing are ok at the beginning but get better with time same for the animation.
P.S. the manga on which this is based was initially supposed to be a comedy anime before switching to shonen action. so they had about 35 or so episodes worth of regular comedy anime. after the first 20 episodes the remaining 15 or so comedy episodes are put as fillers between the mukuro & varia arc, and then the varia and future arc. so beware of them if you aren't keen on going back to the comedy style of the first 20 episodes.
