I never thought an anime could be so unique and consistent in what it is trying to convey. I am glad I had the opportunity watch this all the way through because it dug into a perspective of friendship I never thought could truly exist within individuals.

The show definitely entertains its audience consistently and the action is well placed. Dialogue is well thought out and I like how it draws the audience to question certain aspects of their lives and friendships. The animation is beautiful and even if the it was bad, the story, with its well placed scenes that draw on the emotions of the viewers, itself makes would make for that lacking.

In essence, I would put this anime in the top 10 of best animes ever created just because the content within the series is just jaw dropping and well thought out. If you are looking for a series to redeem your faith in anime, this is definitely the one to do it. (show less)

Firstly, let me say that you shouldn't judge the series based on the first episode... I might even suggest skipping it and starting on the second episode. Now then, I think this series is great because it tells the tale of friends and their relationships as they mature from teenage punks into adulthood. It is a lot of fun to watch the turnover of a generation and witness that loyalty and betrayal that unravel as the series progresses. After the first episode I thought this was going to be a monster shootem up, but a majority of the story is more realistic and engaging. (show less)

The story is good although the name of "Big Daddy" sounds a bit predictable to say the least.However the series is good but the loyalty of Brandon Heat is so much it starts to be a source of irritation and the fact that he does not seem to grow as a character that much or change for that matterwheras with other characters there seems to be some sort of development whether for the good or the bad! However one can argue that this is the endearing aspect of Brandon Heat,how so,, I await a good argument for this, this is honestly the only aspect of the anime that one can find truly find fault with.The story line although also a bit predictable is however engaging and the writers ahve made a fair effort in creating the anime.
