In 2034, counter-terrorism task force Public Security Section 9 works to ensure that the Internet is not crippled by terrorists. Major Motoko Kusanagi, the previous lead of the task force, returns two years after her disillusioned departure, only to find that a hacker named "The Puppeteer" has masterminded a spat of high-profile suicides. Public Security Section 9 investigates the hacker and discovers a complex conspiracy involving a crippled senior citizen program, a zealous right-wing politician, and a corrupt civil service bureaucracy. |

I would recommend this GITS movie only for those who have seen at least the SAC episodes. The story picks up the usual GITS characters and explores a bit further their own lives. The suspense is well kept until the end of the movie... The dialogues are as always rich and enigmatic enough. The animation is one of my favorites in terms of quality and its now a Production IG standard and trade mark. To evaluate the entertainment, I can only say that I could easily see another hour of movie!
