In the future, mankind faces a terrible dilemma: overpopulation! The origin of this epidemic has been traced to one young man named Junta who, in his time period, is destined to become the Mega-Playboy who fathers 100 children (though currently, he vomits uncontrollably whenever a woman gets near him!). Karin is a DNA Operator who has been sent back in time to put a stop to the budding playboy's hormones, but accidentally becomes the cause of his transformation! As if things couldn't get worse, is Karin actually... falling in love with Junta?! |

This is a throwback for anime fans. DNA² isn't one of those animes that is for everyone but it's definitely at least worth an afternoon watch. Now I am gonna base this anime vs the time era it came from so as to be fair. The main character Junta would actually NOT fit the cliche' main male lead if it was not for his *ehem* condition which makes it more believable as to why he acts the way he does around girls. The time cop of this series name is Karin. She liven things up with her antics towards Junta and epic fails to resist Mega Playboy. As for ( read more)

The time cop of this series name is Karin. She liven things up with her antics towards Junta and epic fails to resist Mega Playboy. As for the rest of the cast....well, they had their moments but nothing really note-worthy in my eyes except for the gymnast who I can say had the one funniest moment in the whole anime! The premise of the story is a bit out there with trying to stop the overpopulation of earth because of ONE man but made up for it with the comedy. The animation is surprisingly great. Everything looks hand drawn and thorough in the scenes. The music is ok but I particularly liked the opening Blurry Eyes, so much that I have it in my top 30 anime music list. The couple of things that I found minor to horribly wrong was the way how things turn out at one point then the girl either blows it off, gets a full dose of Mega Playboy (which makes sense....) or something interrupts the mood or moment (TM). It happens too often but the english voices were waaay more annoying as far as most characters speaking as if they were rejects from the original Thundercats......*groan* I can't tell if the Japanese Va's were any better but I can't imagine them talking sloow liiike thiiiiis.........this also could have easily stretched out to 20+ episodes but didn't for one reason or another so it gets rushed a little. ok, overall it's definitely worth a peek and if you have an open Saturday afternoon then marathon it real quick. I would have to say that this anime is pretty funny. For being old I'd have to say this is pretty good. I have watched many anime's and I just felt like giving this a try and it's pretty good for how short it is. Granted it does get boring at some times, but all together it's rather interesting and funny.
