Big eyed girls, cute height, seems unnatural for high school girl...but don't judge a book by its cover

Clannad can promise you a tearful and heartbreaking storyline. Fun, sad ,joy and all of emotion blended together harmonically in this one. But if you are looking for bursting tear causes series, this might not came to that standart; it is more to bittersweet of life of teenagers love and family problem, but you'll still going to cry, so don't worry(maybe my standart of 5star heartbreaking came close to a trauma genre).

This is all about kawaiiii and too high level of joke (over 9000)...try watch this, you'll gonna stick and wanting for the 2nd season, Clannad After Story. (show less)

Forgetting the spam reviews, I'd like to say that this anime made me cry a lot (despite the fact that I'm a boy), although the animation and the artwork are not very good.

This anime, is really the best in the story. It teaches us about friendship, changes, and even love either for your lover, or your son / daughter. I cried when Fuuko's gone back to her body, I cried when protagonist's friend helped her sister (I'm really sorry', it has been a long time since I watched this anime, so maybe I'll sum the review for both seasons.), I cried when the leader of one's gang died protecting his gang's rival member, and when both gang members prayed for him, man. I cried countless times.

Unfortunately, the animation is not very good and the artwork isn't either.


Conclusion: Still a better story than Twilight. (show less)
