Summary: "Early 20th century Europe-Nadja, who is brought up in an orphanage, had always believed that she was an orphan until one day, she hears that "her mother may still be alive somewhere."
Nadja is just your average 13-year-old orphan girl who lives in some part of Europe over 100 years ago, in an orphanage with her friends. But when a package comes in Nadja is wondering maybe her mother could be alive. And a traveling circus comes along and it seems Nadja might be another person to join the traveling circus "dandelion". What about the mysterious man, Kurobara everyone is talking about... And the romantic guy Francis who saved Nadja's life from two men who want to steal her heart-shaped brooch, and there still after it. Young Nadja's life isn't going to be the same anymore.
Raised in an English orphanage during the beginning of the 20th century, young Nadja receives a mysterious package near her 13th birthday. The contents: a ball gown, a diary written in a foreign language, and a letter revealing that her mother might still be alive. Parallel to this incredible disclosure, two men appear set on stealing her brooch, invaluable item that holds the key to her true lineage. Barely escaping with the help of a handsome stranger, Nadja leaves the orphanage and joins the Dandelion Troupe, a wandering group of artists that perform throughout Europe. She hopes that one day she might be able to find the mother she longs so much to have.

To start my review I must firstly say, that I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It has great suspenseful scenes, great romance, and a lot of heart! Even though the plot takes place in the times of nobility and the class system, it can be placed in scenarios of today's time. The animation takes time to get used to I admit, and at times some of the story/episodes can progress slowly... but I truly would keep this on my favourites list. It's an anime to cheer up the soul, and make the hopeless romantics swoon! Now if only there was more.... ah! Well (read more)
