At first glance this might look like your run of the mill fantasy/scifi action anime, but if you look beneath the surface you´ll find some suprisingly complex themes. The fantasy and scifi aspects mesh really well, and never seem out of place, and while the character designs are somewhat bland, they are distinct enough to highlight each characters personality and what they contribute to the plot. The most central characters have really well though out back stories as well. Going back to the plot though, this story is told in a little unusual way. They don´t spell out all details and can decide to reveal important information where you least expect it, and this might frustrate some viewers, myself included at first, but you can get used to it, and once you do it will be fun and challenging for you to guess and speculate on what is going to happen or how stuff relate to each other, along with the characters. The show is very fast paced and have some decent action scenes(just my nitpicking, but they could have been a bit more intense) but still finds time to include comedy and some emotional scenes as well. So all in all, a fairly entertaining show, heres to hoping that the second season improves on what good the show already has to offer. (show less)

Absolutely insane series. Loved it to bits. Completely captivating. This anime is just great truly I can not completely explain it without spoiling it so I will keep this brief. The anime kicks off in a blast and within the first 3 episodes of the series you won't want to stop, granted the series ends off a little quickly but there is a season two which I hope is as awesome. The anime reminds me of no other series I have watched but some some parts of it made me think of Darker than black but a less brutal version and a little Ao no Exorcist as well its just has a small amount of science and magic mixed in to make an excellent series. This anime is fabulous. It has action, humor, and a little bit of romance. The best part of all, at least I thought so, was the story. This anime has such a unique story. There were moments that made me go, "Holy crap! That took me by surprise." If you are looking for something original, check this out. I also loved the characters, especially the main hero; you really get to see how he grows during the episodes.

It does have a little bit of ecchi, but it's mostly just the main character seeing cleavage then doing the blood bursting from the nose bit. During certain parts it feels like a harem, just because he is surrounded by multiple females. But, that's all there is. There is a relationship with one of the girls, and not every girl trying to compete for him.

All in all, I totally loved this anime. Definitely check out the second season, because it answers a lot of questions left over from the first season. (show less)

One word: AWESOME. This show has had me rolling on the floor laughing. The story is gripping. Each episode just draws you in more and more since there are a lot of twists and cliffhangers that make you want to watch the next episode. Above all else, it is just absolutely funny. The dialogue is just priceless. It makes the show funnier because of the way the characters speak and their tone of voice changes with each response or change around them. Animation is awesome. Combat, character design, motion, etc. just make it greater. Entertainment is bar none, the funniest one that I have seen. Sure, others may be funnier but this one is funny in its own way. To know what I mean, watch it and see for yourself. (show less)
