Many years in the future after the exploits of Yugi Mutou, Domino City has become a shadow of its former self: Neo Domino City. There lies a strong divide between the rich and the poor, and bridging that gap proves to be difficult. Neo Domino seems fit to entertain itself with a wild new event called "Riding Duels", the newest form of playing the ever popular Duel Monsters card game. Enter Yusei Fudou, a young man who lives on the edge of the law, making his own rules. His desire to reclaim what is rightly his from an old friend turns into much more than what he and many of his newfound companions called "Signers" would have ever bargained for.
this anime like it's predecessors are bases souly on a card game. steered a bit toward the audiance of children however shouldn't keep you from watching this amazing anime. while duel monsters reigns the most high for me over gx and 5ds this anime for me reigns over gx. for me judai seemed a little annoying though i loved his overall character. he just seemed a little to carefree even when he was about to loose he had complete confidence he would win it seemed. i preper ygo characters like yugi (shy but mighty) atemu (focuses headstrong and never looses) and yusei (focuses and headstrong but also a normal guy people can relate to) with this anime you can expect more of the same when it comes to ygo and that is a good thing. with each ygo anime they all seem to carry the same feel and style. full of loveable characters and fantasic story and animation this is a must see for new fans and old. while the characters of 5d and gx were designed by the original creater of ygo the story was not. duel monsters however was loosely based of of takahashi's manga. (the origninal creator) enjoy.
