Summary: The movie opens with a bank robbery orchestrated by the titanic, towering thief known as Gasback. As a thief, he only pulls off the most difficult heists that offer the biggest rewards. Gasback's trio of henchmen, however, are tired from the increasing danger and expense of each successive job and decide to seize the winnings from this latest heist, kill Gasback and retire to a life of luxury. When Cain, the leader of the trio goes to fire the killing shot, his gun is mysteriously knocked out of his hand...

Vash the Stampede appears from underneath a counter where he had been cowering and immediately throws the thieves off guard with his odd behavior and complaints about ruining his donuts. Gasback attempts to shoot down his former companions as they run away, but Vash manages to throw his aim off and no one is killed. Police begin to circle the building just as it is revealed that Vash is the legendary "Humanoid Typhoon." Gasback is confused why he would want to try and save even robbers and Vash responds in his usual way telling him that it's better to be alive. Gasback ultimately escapes the police by using a barrage of explosives for cover, one of which damages the city's power Plant.

Yes, that's the right title for the review of this movie. I preface this review by saying I am not a rabid Trigun fan. I don't know how many buttons are on Vash's jacket, but I have seen the series.
However, I did enjoy this movie, for what it was. I think the title of this review sums it up, this movie was more like a combination of 3 ridiculously well animated episodes of a great series. Unfortunately for the uber fan, these were definitely filler episodes. Good substantial filler, but filler none the less.
The ending also reeks of a movie that's a little too blatant on not resolving itself so that more movies can be made, think Transformers, Naruto, and Dragonball Z. The ending set up was a bit jarring, from a capitalist standpoint, but i will concede that it makes sense with the episodic nature of this movie. All and all I think it's worth seeing, but this is not the Trigun movie to end all movies. If you come into with low expectations I'm sure it will surpass them.
