Ok I usually reserve disdain for those who do what I'm about to do... that is, write a review before they've finished the series!

However, I will state I'm writing this based on watching 10 episodes out of 12 and hopefully it will serve as a measure of whether or not you want to spend downloads on this series... more on that.

Let me get the technical stuff out of the way first. The animation was very well done and I enjoyed the clean lines, bold colours, and smooth motion of the series. Sound is also good with no major detractions. The opening and closing, while not all that memorable, are slightly above average. I had no real complaints about the technical presentation.

Now to the meat. I usually enjoy this kind of series. Short, comedic, to the point! But somewhere early on this show just never quite got there. I don't know if it's the lack of conflict, the simplistic dialog, or just the sense of 'where am I going with all this?' that it left me... needless to say, I simply couldn't justify spending any more time downloading it. There's so much better series out there and this just was not interesting to me as disappointing as that discovery was.

It's short so you may love it, but even as a short series there are many more that will hold your attention much better and give you a sense that the series has purpose. I didn't get that out of this.

To end on a positive note, the male lead has a shaved-headed buddy that offers some sage dating advice - that in itself provided some entertainment value as it was what I least expected from a series like this! Unfortunately, sidekicks with more character than the lead will not increase watchability...
