The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series, that premieres on the Nickelodeon television network on April 14, 2012. The series is a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired on the same network from 2005 to 2008, and is currently set to run for 26 episodes
I've heard people complaining about American animation especially Disney and while I don't like it I respect what they have done because without American companies like Disney there wouldn't be anime. Anime took a lot from early American Cartoons and now Cartoons are taking notes from Anime, even though Avatar is very anime styled it's still a cartoon a very good one at that. Avatar is the direction animation should be taking it's original, entertaining and is a landmark in a country that spews out tons of Seth McFarlane like toons that really on crude humor and lack depth. It's about time Japan had some overseas competition in the animated series department as Anime has been getting progressively more about animated boobs and less about the boundary pushing awesomeness that made us love it in the first place. Anime is mostly just the bastardization of Manga anyway, I would rather see an original American animation like Avatar than have some Japanese guy turn my favourite manga's into a 22min long series of boob related gags (Rosario+Vampire). So the next time you think of trolling around because something isn't made in Japan think about how they made another season of Queen's Blade and crappy shows like Ah! My Buddha! and Mouse as long as it's good it deserves at least the benefit of the doubt.... GOOD DAY!
