Summary:
Hunted by the Mings from China, young Kotaro and his dog meet a nameless samurai ("Nanashi") who is constantly being haunted by dreams of the past which lead him to seal his sword. Among the Mings is a fiercesome Western fighter named Rarou, who desires only to find a worthy opponent. When both groups clash with a Sengoku-era feudal lord, a proud general, and monks torn between faith and survival, the reason behind the Mings' pursuit tests the bond between Kotaro and Nanashi.
a great movie and a must see for all anime fans. the story is, although a little spotty in some areas, very interesting and animation quality here is flawless. action sequences are very dynamic with none of those dbz type repeated scenes to fill fight time. along with great animation quality and story comes an epic soundtrack by the great Sato Naoki that just makes you want to save the world. if you like samurais but don't want to watch a whole 26+ episode series then look no further. get your fix from Sword of the Stranger! >_< b
