Summary:
A "shirobako" refers to the white box into which a finalized tape of a film is put, full of the effort of everyone who worked on it. Five girls have their eyes set on getting in a white box as they try to find success in the anime industry through writing, production, and voice acting.
A new original anime from my favourite ani. studio P.A. Works that i believe rival Hanasaku Iroha(P.A. Works original anime). I'm glad they made this. After Hanasaku, most of their anime are rather average at most (except Nagi no Asu) and only their stunning visual saves the day.
For me personally I can relate to the working life setting in the anime with meeting deadlines, chasing people, co-workers suddenly quit, etc. For working people they can easily relate to the characters hardship doing their work and also their future planning(ambition). I'm embarrassed to say but before I watch this anime, my main goal only to earn money and married and live a happy life. But seeing this anime brought me to think clearly what my ambition was and how to reach it.
The story flow are not to slow or to fast. The main characters (5 girls) got the main focus with their pursuit to become successful in anime industry, but the story also build up some of the side characters story which made the story richer and complex.
The dialogue were a bit complex as they used the industry jargons (terms) and can caused viewer to get bored as we don't understand some of the terms. Dialogues were heavy and long, not suitable for under 15 (not explicit but too complex for underage).
The animation/graphics for this anime is of the highest quality as expected of P.A. Works anime. Stunning scenery and smooth animation help to make the anime interesting. I'm glad their quality returns to their old standards of Angel Beats, Hanasaku Iroha, Nagi no Asu. Quite disappointed with some of their recent animes.
Entertainment....for some this show will not be entertaining. Minimum action except for some racing scene and so far no romance alert (up to ep. 10). Will be a disappointing anime for shoujo or shonen fans.
I strongly recommend this anime for working people and for students graduating in the near future as this story give a detail situation of working life.
