Summary:
This is the story of Furuya, a 15 year old boy who is obsessed with zombies. From videos to manga, trinkets to video games, he will stop at nothing in his quest for anything zombie related. However, his interests turns from a simple hobby into an obsession when his cat dies in an accident. Using an old manuscript, Furuya embarks on a quest to revive his fallen pet. During his quest however, he is discovered by the idol Rea, a popular and elegant lady from a wealthy family. Though it may appear that her life is perfect, everything is not as it seems. And she turns to Furuya, wishing to die and be reborn as a different person?
Instead of someone popping daisy's this anime seems to argue the entire reversal of that - which is death being reborn to life as a zombie. Even more fantastical is the employment of the themes of death in contrast to dying. i love the characterisation, it certainly makes for an interesting narrative on obsessive fathers, abused daughters and how life is truly a process of dying. Sanka Rea herself is an interesting anomoly - a living and dying (or dead) person in the fact that her world is so far removed from others and her life itself is more zombie like. I would suggest that all lovers of this genre watch this anime. the story itself is AMAZING
