This anime from the first episode grabbed my attention and made me think "Wow a cool, funny, ecchi anime that has a fascinating story... then I watched the rest." So I am just going to tally up an overall score from the good and not-so-good parts of Princess Lover. Starting with the Intro song (boring) -2. First episode past the intro song (Epic) +50. Hot princess (With nice assets) +2. Hot Female swordsman (Thus Swordswoman) +2. Cute maid (Need I say more) +2. Cute Female designer (that's right) +2. Token funny, spontaneous friend (For comic relief) +2. Episodes 2 to 11 (Really not cool compared to epi 1) -5 per episode: Total -50. Quirky, funny bit in each episode (Makes it worth the time) +10. Plot (Or what they call a plot) -15. Episode 12 (Neutral) +0. Ending (Truly dissappointing) -2. In case you haven't been keeping track that is a grand total of 1 point. In the end Princess Lover is entertaining, but after watching it soon leaves your mind. Just be warned episode 1 is nothing like the rest.
