Naruto? Absolutely brilliant

Naruto is probably one of the best series in a history of anime but at the same time one of the most overrated series.
We have tons of anime about teenage boys with quite handy special unique super-duper powers who, despite horrible obstacles and often misunderstanding of society, gradually getting closer to some enormously hard to achieve goal. With hard work and support of close friends, naturally.

The story in 'Naruto' is fun but hardly new. It's usually quite predictable. This said there are still some more or less intriguing plot twists that don't allow the story to become boring. It's between average and good. The characters are... usual. Very ordinary for this genre. But very unordinary in the terms of... catchiness. You can't help but find some characters that you will inevitably love. Not necessary all characters, but it's hard to stay indiffirent to them! They are almost alive, I swear. And Naruto himself is lovable to no limits (and it comes from the person who loathes fart jokes).

Dialogue rotates between mediocre and awesome, thus - average.

Animation is average. Not really bad, sometimes very nice, but not exellent.

Entertainment. Oh, here we are. 10 out of 5. Believe me, no series would be able to become that long and popular if the anime is not entertaining. It's right amount of funny and touching, with nicely balanced humour, fanservice, action, fighting, drama and romance. Most likely you won't want to stop watching it. That is why I find this anime brilliant - it's perfectly interesting. I don't remember a single non-filler episode that would would leave me doubting if I want to continue to watch 'Naruto' or not.

Still, I'm obliged to mention two things that are turn-offs for me. First - flashbacks. But I manage to skip them with the help of my media player, so it's not that big of a problem. And second one - fillers. Now those are HORRIBLE. I highly recommend to find the list of 'Naruto' episodes and just skip all fillers while downloading.

So, as a conclusion, this anime has its flows but those are easily compensated with its good sides. I would recommend to try it if you somehow managed to not watch 'Naruto' up to this day =)
