One day, a strange transfer student appears before Tsubaki. Urabe Mikoto is an antisocial girl, whose hobby is just sleeping during class-breaks. One day, Tsubaki goes to wake her up and accidentally tastes her drool... And gets hooked on that! After that, he starts going out with her and gets to know her better. Her second hobby, as it turns out, is carrying around scissors in her panties and cutting paper into flowers... |

I've read the manga and I've seen the 3 episodes and I am definitely hooked on this series. Excellent voice acting specially the voice of Urabe. The series never got boring (Manga) and from what I've seen so far from the first three episodes of the anime, the adaptation is excellent. Also I am a fan of shounen animes. I rarely follow slice of life/romance animes. Coming from a shounen anime fan I believe this is a testament on how entertaining Mysterious Girlfriend X is. Do check it out.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
