Good plot, but too short

This anime would have been much better if it was 26 episodes. They don't really develop any of the characters very well. The story has so much to tell that it really seems like someone hit fast forward a lot. Keep the same plot but take the time to develop the characters and the story line a little better and this could easily be a 5 star anime. The ending was clearly a set up for a second season, but there never was one.

Obviously magic is the key here. Like many other story lines with magic in this one magicians try to hide their gifts from those people that lack any magical abilities and this causes a divide among those with magic. Eventually a war breaks out and to protect those who are without magical abilities the great wiseman divides the world into two worlds and makes it so magicians can not battle in the original world any more or they'll lose their magical abilities for forever. The concept is great and some of the fight scenes are awesome, but it just wasn't developed enough and the ending was horrible because of the way it just left you hanging. If the right people redid this anime and made it 26 to 52 episodes it could be really popular, but my advice is only watch this if you have time to waste.
