Based off the manga "Kingdom"
In the Warring States Period of ancient China (475-221 BCE), Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They dream of one day proving themselves on the battlefield. One day, however, Hyou is taken to the palace by a minister. Winding up on the losing side of a power-struggle, Hyou manages to return to the village, barely alive. Shin then meets a boy who closely resembles Hyou, Ei Sei. For now he is the king of Qin; later he will become the emperor Shi Huangdi.

Considering that animation for shows have been improving consistently year after year....this anime definitely takes a step back in terms of animation. It attempts to make the character look 3D ish but fails and makes the movement look really fake and sluggish. The characters also really bad when the show comes from 2D to 3D animation. I have watched the first episode and I couldn't continue any further. I have watched much older anime shows before such as Berserk and Hajime no Ippo but the animation for this show is that bad...
