Summary:
Kimi ni Todoke is about a girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from the ring) because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya kun becomes her friend and, to her, is "100% refreshness."errorsource
Kuronuma Sawako is nicknamed Sadako due to her resemblance to the girl from the Japanese horror movies "The Ring". Shunned by her classmates, her life starts to change as she befriends Shōta Kazehaya, a very popular boy in her class.
Kuronuma Sawako’s one wish in life is to make friends. That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. She admires her classmate, Kazehaya-kun, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her.
I cannot believe how heart warming and tear jerking this series truly is. Sure, there is a bit of comedy here and there, especially with Sawako, but this really made me feel real deep. I rarely cry at all. I can sit through just about anything with a straight face if I tried. This series made me cry 17 times! 17!!! That's coming from someone who is a natural-born tough ass that feel little to no pain, sadness or suffering. It's not that I am a wimpy little cry-baby. It's that this story is WAY TOO TOUCHING!! Seriously, they need to ban this brand of Heart-felt perfection. Gives the title "Man" a run for it's money.
