Sumimura Yoshimori, a 14-year-old junior high school boy, is a descendant of Kekkaishi, or an exterminator of monsters He is vying for the heir to the family with Yumikura Tokine. Tokine is older than him, and she is his childhood friend as well as his rival Kekkaishi. To save people from the crises, and to make himself stronger, Yoshimori fights against monsters tonight, too. |

I thoroughly enjoyed âKekkaishiâ. The way it was drawn reminded me of âSoul Eaterâ which if youâve seen and liked, you would probably enjoy this anime as well. My only criticism for the series as a whole would be the time it takes to get into the series. Had I anything else to watch during the first ten episodes, I probably would not have finished âKekkaishiâ. The time it took to build a storyline for the viewer, and introduce characters backgrounds I was already at episode 10-15 and eager for the series to make a substantial progression. So if you decide to watch âKekkaishiâ, I would warn it may take some time before you canât wait to see the next episode.
