When looking at the list for fall anime this was one of those I singled out of must watch. The story sounded interesting, and I felt like they would be able to do so much with it. Now the anime ended with only 13 episodes which completely feels like there is so much stuff left unsaid or untouched.
As I said the story is interesting with number of kings, and a new king trying to establish himself by starting a form of chaos. The problem with this anime was development of anything. Thing that you do get explanations for seemed rushed rather than drawn out and actually explained. Characters overall are not developed at all, and you do not feel like there is really one character you can really like in this anime. The animation is solid and almost felt like it was too good for an anime that was somewhat a letdown. Entertainment wise it does have some to it, but doesn't have that dramatic effect to most of that anime that helps drive action scenes and so on.
To me it is an anime that had potential to be a top tier favorite in almost anyone's list, but it never hits a full stride and leaves you feeling under-satisfied. I say not really an anime you need to go see, maybe put it low on your queue of watching. Otherwise pass it up and move onto so better anime.
