At first the storyline wouldn't seem that interesting, but if you watch a few episodes you will not only fall in love with the beautiful animation and the adorably normal characters but also with the mysteries theay research. Mostly it's about finding yourself and spending time together.
Hyouka has like I said before wonderful pcitures, animations and a great design as well as a fitting soundtrack.
As for the characters - you will love them, because they are real and I think a little bit of everyone is included in at least one of the four main characters. The dialogues are intelligent, thoughtful but easy to follow.
Their daily adventures make you want to pay more attention to the little mysteries, for example why a room was locked or what caused the gloomy shadow of a hanging man at a hotel room.
I love this anime because it is entertaining without great fantasy aspects and action or great love scenes. I usually don't like everyday life anime, but this one is great and I think it is very inspiring.
