Hansaku Iroha was a big surprise for me since i didn't expect that a story about a girl, Ohana, who was forced to leave Tokyo by her carefree mother in order to live & work in her grandmother's inn can be so entertaining and the same time engaging. I admire Ohana's optimism and determination and the way she handles those tough and unpredictable situation is always something to look forwards too. The minor characters are also fun to watch and i like the idea that they are not perfect and they each have their own ordeal when it comes to both their work and their private lives. Ohana's relationship with her friends reminds me a bit of K!ON it's not over dramatic and the flow is simple and relateable. I like the fact that the characters treat their work place as not just a source of income but also a place where they can grow and built relationship and even create their own dreams which is why the ending came to a bit of a surprise for me and made me appreciate this anime a lot more since it proved that not everything has to have a good ending somethings things must end (even in a bad way) in order for something better to start. The only thing that i was a bit frustrated about is the "romance" since i was expecting a lot more from Ohana-Koichi-Toru-Minko relationship but other than that everything was a breath of fresh air for me and i enjoyed the series a lot!
