To me this anime is the best that came out this spring.
If you like anything related to Bakumatsu and Shinsengumi, if you like watching well designed sword fights, and if you would like a romance flair together with gorgeous animation then you should watch this.
It is based on an otome game with the same name, but to tell the truth you'll be awed at how well executed the adaptation is made. The chacters are all deep and solid, even the female lead which you come to like through the series. Well at least she is not stupid or annoyingly naive. Seeing the real Shinsengumi Captains depicted like this piques your interest in their real persons and even though some of you might not like the Shinsengumi due to Rurouni Kenshin series, you'll come to like them and look at the historical events from the Shinsengumi's perspective, too -even though this is a fiction-.
The artwork is marvellous, the music is poetic, the voice actors are well selected, the dialogue is easy to follow even though this anime is based on history.
I recommend this series to everyone. The only put downer of the series is being too short. I would have glady watched a 24 episodes long run, but 12 episodes is better than none.
Go watch it!!!
