The animation in this series is excellent but the story and the characters just fall flat. The main character is your typical reluctant hero but is among one of the most annoying lead characters I have encountered in an anime series. He is whiny, weak and soft. I know he is suppose to improve and get stronger with time, but the way in which the story progresses and how quickly he becomes part of the resistance, his character leaves much to be desired.
The story also progresses at a break neck speed which really ruins it as the character develop so far through six episodes is almost non-existent.
It's really a poor series with brilliant animation and a good idea. That's it.
