This series is not bad, and thankfully it's also not very long either so it isn't a waste to watch it. However, that being said, watching it isn't very special. I must say, however, that this anime did interest me enough to watch it all, and I did like the idea of it as well. In fact, this is one of very few animes that I actually WANT to like more than what I do...

There are several aspects about this anime that make it decent, but somewhat unrefined overall.
To mention a few; The background story surrounding the main characters' past and reasons surrounding his decision to move far away to the countryside is never really explained in enough detail, which is rather inconvenient as it is important information. The potential romantic relationship between the main character and the main female character is an aspect that is touched upon at times, but nothing ever becomes of it unfortunately. Most of the other characters seem rather bland.

To be honest, it actually feels as if nearly all of this anime is one filler arc of something else, where more details of the actual story behind everything could have been explained better. Which is unfortunate because this anime left me feeling a little disappointed, not because it is bad, but because there are too many unanswered questions and "loose ends" in the end.

Still. As I said at the start, the idea behind it is nice and I did like that. The animation and sound quality are good as well. Voice acting is pretty decent, too. But in the end.... It just feels.... Unfinished. Unrefined.
