Summary:
In the land of Fronaldo, the Republic of Biscotti has been aggressively attacked by the Lion Kingdom of Garette. Facing potential defeat, Princess Millhiore summons a hero who can save the country. What she gets is Izumi Shinku, a middle-school boy from Japan. Awaiting him in Fronaldo is the task of becoming hero enough to defeat his enemies while learning the peculiar rules of battle in this strange new world.
This anime seems a little young at first, but it develops into something older people can enjoy. The first few episodes are pretty much setting the scene, and come episode 6, the true path of the anime is revealed. Dog Days is the sort of anime that has to be given a real go - it becomes addictive starting at episode 7! I can't wait for the next one~♪
This anime goes from being relatively light-hearted at the start to serious, which is part of it's charm. The fight scenes are... Interesting to say the least, but fun nevertheless. The anime is quite ingenious - designed to be suitable for older children whilst enjoyable for teenagers too. There is some blood starting at 6 (Which seems to be my lucky number in this review ^^)
Ultimately, Dog Days is pure win and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys action, comedy and fantasy. What are you waiting for? Start downloading!
