Illogical Reasonings

First off, this anime has what it takes; very quality animation and nice OSTs.
The story is about two ideals, two main characters with their very own path they chose to take. However, this is where story side fell a little off, ruined by their line of reasoning. With every episode I watch the more I felt its being ridiculous. Hibiki (one of two main character ), defends that humans should work together and we should not sacrifice others yet didn't provide a definite resolution. Yamato (the other protagonist) provides to set a world anew based on merits and opinions that sacrifices are necessary for the greater good.
This then brings us to question which is right and which is the latter. Throughout the anime, Yamato is being portrayed as being the dark side which I think is to make up for Hibiki's weak line of reasoning. The world is slowly being destroyed, while Yamato is doing his best to protect what's left of the world for 7 days, Hibiki was most of the time spouting his nonsense ideals that Yamato sacrifices others for his own sake, complaining that his actions are unforgivable and will not recognize them.
A normal person would've known such simple truth for we are realistic about the world. It appears Hibiki is just one of those little kids (with 5 years old mindset) that the world should be a peaceful place. Not only that, Hibiki's friends and other sub-characters were even led to follow his childish reasoning (studio trying to cover up Hibiki's idiotic ideals) and turned to seem that they (Hibiki's side) were equally right to Yamato's realistic ideals.
Anyone above the age of 12 would've known that it is right and true that at some point sacrifices are necessary to attain our goals. It is not the process that matters but the end results and on the contrary, Hibiki who does nothing yet continuously spouting his godly wisdom, the world would've ended on the second day (had it not been for Yamato). Heck, Hibiki should drop to his knees to Yamato, and say, thank you.
In any case, it seems to suggest that the studio intends to make a good versus bad plot but just how 'good' is this? This, I leave that to your imagination.
