A really good continuation!

[REVIEW FOR SEASON 2 SOLO]

[The review for the OVA so far is below] I'll get straight to the point. Season 1 was WAY better than this... Don't let that stop you from watching this at all though, as it was still extremely good, just not AS good as the first season. As always the animation is top notch. It's clean, crisp and really well done, so I have NO complaints there! The story in this was good, but to be honest, was not top notch. I didn't disappoint me, but I expected it to be better than season one. HOWEVER, it was still really good and shouldn't be that much of a turn-off (hence the 4/5). Just know that you shouldn't expect this season to top season one. The main character from season one returns (yes!) and is still one of my most favorite characters. He's changed a bit in this season, and some may call him REALLY cruel (I sorta agree) but... it gets better! The action scenes are a bit limited in this season, which disappointed me a bit, especially considering this season was only 12 episodes long... They were still good (especially with the "new" addition), so don't let that turn you away either! All in all, this season was still really good. If you've watched the first season, definitely watch this season, just know that it won't be as good as season one, but it is still REALLY good! Plus... it's Darker than Black... come on, that says it all right there! 4/5 for S2

[REVIEW FOR OVA]

Ok now, straight to the point again, this OVA so far [3 eps] is FREAKIN' AMAZING! THIS is what season 2 should have been. When I watched the OVA after not watching DtB for so long, it brought a wave of nostalgia and I saw the action scenes, and Hei and Yin and the crisp animation again, I felt at ease again. It felt like season one all over again, just with an advanced plot. I love this OVA so far... season 2 should have been this! After watching just ONE episode, It made me incredibly hyped and ready for the next. I've always been an avid fan of DtB, but this one is imho better than Season One... I know I shouldn't be saying that since it's really short, and it might probably be due to missing DtB so much, but I'm in love with this OVA. I don't even have to say a word about the story or the characters or anything. Just take my word and WATCH this OVA. It will NOT disappoint at all! If you liked Season One, you will LOVE this. If you liked Season Two, you will DEFINITELY love this. Enough said. Download it. Watch it. NOW! =] 5/5 for OVA
