Entertaining, but not engagin.

DN Angel is a sweet, but not terribly in depth story of a boy whose feelings for his childhood friend give him access to magical powers. The plot is pleasant but straightforward, the characters are a little on the nose but they do have some individuality to distinguish them from legions of other shoenen protagonists.
