Overall Rating
Excellent
Story: 4
Dialogue: 5
Animation: 4
Entertainment: 5
pros
+ original storyline with unique setting
+ great characters and quite funny chara interaction
+ amazing mixture of action, comedy, suspense, supernatural and horror with the right flavour of 'darkness' to it
cons
- story starts off rather slow and doesn't finish
- fillers make it lose in flow
- limited set of charas, fighting can get repetitive since everyone has only a small set of attacks

conclusion: imo one of the best shounen out there. once you get over the beginning, in which it seems like a typical 'hunt down the demons' anime, the storyline gains depth and becomes more involving. characters are amazingly well thought-out, complex, and provide one hell of a comedic side to something that otherwise would just be dark and shady. slow-paced, and you might have to read the manga once you're through with the anime (it doesn't finish), but it's well worth the time s'long as you have a bit of patience.

peace.
