Why does it seem that so many short anime series have such potential but fail to deliver? Ah well, such is life...

I primarily viewed this series because it has one of my favourite English VA's - Liam O'Brien as Taishi, the 'other half' of the 2 Brothers doujin group... and he did not fail to impress! My main beef was with the lack of development of what seemed like such a good storyline.

I really enjoyed the concept of an anime series based on manga writing especially one that kind of takes you through the experiences of an up-and-coming writer trying to break into the scene. Unfortunately in a series of this length there's just not enough time to really flesh out the characters and advance the plot at the same time. For example, there's obvious romance between the two main characters Kazuki and his childhood friend Mizuki but by the end you're just left hoping that it'll go somewhere 'in the future'.

Other than that, the comedy in this series was good and not overly cliched. As I stated previously, my primary viewing experience was in English which I did enjoy. The artwork was decent, clean if somewhat dated. I didn't care for the OP and ED all that much although that is, as always, totally a subjective opinion.

Overall, I enjoyed this series but I felt that it could've been expanded to a longer series easily and been even better.
