Note, this review is meant for people who never really watch any of the BLood series before. Because my viewpoints may be different from yours, in fact, it might be different if I even watched Blood +, which I haven't. So basically this is the first time BLOOD review for those who are on edge on whether or not to watch it.
Story: None, what-so-ever, literrally. For the first couple of eps, the only thing we know is that Saya has some sort of power used to kill these things called Elder Barins? (not sure if I spelled Barins right) We don't get any backstory to the Barins, or Saya. Whenever something interesting happens, Saya's father always makes her forget or basically ignores her questions...which doesn't really help with the plot. Basically its just a girl trying to live a normal life, pitted up against the most random of creatures. Now, outside the conflict, its just basically random daily life stuff going on, and I mean random, they'll talk about the most random of things, which kinda gets irritating. But honestly, if you're still unsure, just start watching at ep 6 because that's when things get really interesting (trust me). Not giving away spoilers but some of her friends (not saying who) do get killed by these monsters or actually team up with them to go on a sensless killing spree, which in results forces Saya to kill the not-mentioned friend. After that the monsters start appearing more frequently wherever Saya is, especially at her school, which is where ep 8 is. Which honestly brings to the question that we all want to know, how is Saya going to protect her classmates when she's fighting off this monster that they all see (in fact a lot of them are getting killed in the process)
Dialogue:...the character personalities are as flat as a coke left out all day a hot Texas Summer. They really have no distinct personality. Which as mentioned before, leads to dull conversations. Even the conversations during the battle are somewhat dull and confusing.
Animation: FUCKING GREAT!!! Okay, you may think that this is less bloody than Blood Plus...but just wait until they release the uncensored version of this because starting at ep 6 and up, all of the fights are censored...somehow something tells me if it was uncensored then I was be mortally scarred just judging by the noises and brief glimpses of extreme blood splatter.
Entertainment: Um...really I would say boring. But there's just enough entertainment to have you wanting to watch the next ep just to see if they reveal the plot at all, which is the main reason why I still watch, hoping that the plot will be revealed eventually.
So in all, I actually don't hate this show and its one of my favorite. I'm just saying that obviously they're making up the fact taht there isn't much of a story by awesome fight scenes. I respect CLAMP for everything they've done, I just hope that Blood-C turns out better in the future and gets a 26 ep season.
