Bleach.. what a interesting name

First of all why is it even called bleach? researching the reason why, i have found that kubo tite (the author of bleach manga) named it after a nirvana album, and also named it after the property of real bleach (the disinfectant aka hydrogen peroxide) which cleanses surfaces by killing microbes. How very articulate.... besides leaving alot of fans confused, it is one of the most bizarre names for an anime ever next to bobobobobobobo

The story is average in the beginning. Help save the damsel in distress by getting super training to be super strong. And then when you get defeated, miraculously survive and become more stronger and reach the next level of power. Then beat the super strong guy. If even stronger guys appear, get even more super training to reach the next level power beyond what is already super powerful (which now looks pathetic compared to the even more superior attained power). DBZish plots are fun because the outcome of the fight isn't what we're looking for. It's more like how much the main character has developed over time plus the fight scenes.

As the story progresses the side characters become interesting... however in the world of bleach there are way too many side characters (most of which you will care little about). Actually Bleach has so many side characters I contemplated mailing kubo tite a letter telling him to kill off some characters. It can't be that hard, they get involved in sword fights that leave cities looking like they had been wrecked by Godzilla. The characters also receive multiple sword stabbing and slashing wounds, however they don't die.

Besides the story being a bit too predictable there are some positive things about this anime that make it great. For instance there are alot of hilarious dialogue in this. Kon was the comic relief in the beginning of the anime and later on it becomes a bunch of side characters. The only thing i have against the comic relief is that it lacks pragmatics. Characters often act inappropriately during current situations, especially during fights.

Animations vary. Bleach will have amazing animation one moment (especially during important fight scenes) and then it will go back to mundane framerates, and lazy artwork. Same thing goes about my feeling about this anime. One moment I love it, and later i feel tempted to stop watching the series all together.
