When watching an anime I usually expect to get the whole plot and point by the end of the first episode, or at least the beginning of the second. With BECK, I'm afraid this isn't happening. The slow movement of this anime combined with the mediocre animation is making it hard to watch, and I'm finding myself checking the time to see if I'm almost done with the episode. Being a mostly talk anime without much action, I find myself wondering what the point of it is. I have to give it to them, the animation of the hands strumming and playing the guitar is simply amazing, but is that all that they want us to see? The character development is moving slowly, and I'm not liking the characters as much as I feel they want me to.
