I stumbled upon .hack//Roots just after I had finished watching '.hack//legend of the Twilight' series. I wanted to see what happened after this series or even previous to it, as i had found it so interesting, so I searched the net for .hack// and found Roots. It was an interesting series, the main character Haseo was a depressed teen who decided to play a video game where he found a place which gave him hope - his guild. It is a descent story, quite emotional between the characters, and it sustained suspense through its few interesting twists. It was nothing spectacular and I would've liked to see the series go further as I believe it had the potential. But for what it's worth, it kept me interested to see what happened in the next episode. The animation was satisfactory and the amount of story there was in the 26 episodes was good also.
